Wyoming County man charged with hiding bodies

Mullens, West Virginia (WVNS) – A Wyoming County man faces charges last week for allegedly hiding a body from a drug overdose.

On Thursday, September 15, 2022, West Virginia State Police (WVSP) Corporals J. Payne and E. Hoosier responded to reports that a body had been found. He was at 3 Green Street in Mullens near Mullens Salvage. The body was called 911 by someone driving in the area, but no other details were given.

The body was later identified as Jason Lawrence Gord.

Corporal learns that Gord frequently spent time with Penny Sue Biggs through a mutual friend. A friend of Gord’s also added that Biggs was the last person he contacted and got into her car before he was found dead.

They went to Biggs’ house to find her husband, Wallace Biggs, and a friend. He told police he had no idea where his wife was and had left on an errand earlier in the day. The office detained Mrs. Biggs on unrelated charges after they found her hiding in another area.

When the corporal interviewed her, she said she had picked Gord up, and Mr. Biggs gave them the money they had bought heroin for. She gave Gord the heroin he smoked. , Mr. Biggs took them all home, past the junkyard, the Mullens Salvage.

Mrs Biggs said:

“I asked Jason if he was okay and he muttered, I had power steering fluid in my car and it was hard to steer. I got out of the car and tried again but still nothing.I was scared so I went to get him out and dragged his pants to the ground.Then we went home. Wallace Biggs was with me and he was driving.”

Wallace Biggs was charged with concealing a dead body, interfering with an officer or member, and providing false information.
