STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) – Some of Ohio Valley’s most talented youngsters got a chance to showcase their skills at the 2nd Annual Valley’s Got Talent Kids Edition on Friday night.
The competition was open to any child between the ages of 8 and 13 living within 35 miles of Steubenville.
The children showed off their various talents, including singing, dancing, and poetry. Judging criteria included inspirational and spiritual effect, vocal and instrumental excellence, and ability to connect with an audience.
“This is our second one for the younger age group. We had it for nine years for the older age group, but ended up splitting it up a few years ago. Last year we only had 10-12 participants, this year we have 30. It’s a really, really exciting time.”
BOBBYJON BAUMAN, DIRECTOR OF THE SYCAMORE YOUTH CENTER
These talented kids competed for a $500 cash prize and a trophy.
