Cowboys release official statement on Jim Brown

The NFL and the world of sports at large lost an iconic legend Friday with the passing of former Cleveland Browns great Jim Brown.

Brown, one of the greatest players in sports history and an influential ambassador on and off the field, “had passed away peacefully” at the age of 87, according to a statement from his family.
