Wheeling Park boys win gold at 46th Annual Dick Day Track Classic
WHEELING, W.Va. (WTRF) – Hundreds of athletes gather at Wheeling Park for the 46th edition of the Games.th Annual Dick Day Truck Classic.
Alongside the packed event, it was announced that the late Coach Day will be inducted into the West Virginia High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
Twenty-one teams from three states participated in Saturday’s competition.
Coach Dick Day is known for leading OVAC’s most dominant men’s track program at the park.
His son Sean and the rest of the Day family help keep his legacy alive by hosting the event each year.

Cannon McMillan won the women’s event with a team total of 152 points.
Park’s Adriana Fazzini came out on top in the discus throw.
Kenzie Beckett of Shadyside won gold in the 1600m with a time of 2:31:27 in the women’s 800m.
Brought back by Ean Weatherson of Shadyside 1st Participated in the men’s pole vault.
Jumping 6 feet, Mikel Davis gave the Patriots victory in the men’s high jump.
In the 4x800m relay, he finished first with a time of 8:30.10. Wheeling Park’s Ben Ashmore, Jonah Nizami, Eli Miller and Seth Franke.
The Patriots won silver in the 4x400m.
