City Council Hears Plans for Old Shab Metal Building – WOWO 1190 AM

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WOWO) – City Council members heard from the developers of the project at the former Sherb Metal Facility this week.

Council members heard plans for the building on North Harrison Street on Tuesday. A partner of 21 Alive news reports that the building has been completely renovated, with retail space and restaurants planned. One of her highlights is the trolley system that takes you in and out of the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.

Council members voted 7 to 1 for a gradual tax cut over a decade to help pay for the project.

Construction is expected to begin within 60 days and take a year and a half to complete.
