A man accused of breaking into a house and raping a teenager

A 25-year-old man was charged with breaking into a house, raping a teenager with a gun, and then kidnapping and robbing a homeowner. Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Tyler Garrett was charged with robbery, rape, and kidnapping. On August 14, Ditters said Garrett had invaded a house in the Cincinnati area and a 17-year-old girl was sleeping on the couch. Ditters said Garrett raped her with a gun. After raping a teenager, authorities say Garrett went upstairs to the homeowner’s room and awakened the homeowner. Garrett pushed the homeowner downstairs and shot the homeowner and his 15-year-old child, Ditters said. Officials said the 25-year-old boy demanded money from the victims. After showing that he had no money, Ditters said Garrett pushed them into the car and ordered the victims to take him to a new location — some items with him from inside the house. I brought it. Garrett was later arrested in Alabama and handed over to Hamilton County, Ditters said. According to Ditters, he was previously convicted of other robbers and robbers and sentenced to five years in prison, and Garrett was unaware of the victim. If convicted, Garrett can be sentenced to up to 58 years in prison.
