Toledo, Ohio-The Toledo Police Department is looking for an Academy class in June 2022 and is looking to hire 40 new officers.

The testing and application process is open until November 30th. Testing is usually completed directly, but can be done online using the appropriate equipment.

On Wednesday, Mayor Wade Kapsukievich announced plans to hire nearly 100 additional officers by 2026, using funds from the US Rescue Program. These hires will give the city a total of 700 officers. This is the highest number since 2006.
Another academy class will start later this month.
