FORT WAYNE, IN (Business, IN) – The Fort Wayne-based manufacturing company has announced plans to expand and nearly double its employee base. FazTech Industrial Solutions, which designs, manufactures and installs a wide range of custom industrial equipment, announced Tuesday that it is breaking ground on its new $9 million headquarters and production facility.

The project is expected to add up to 24 new jobs to the company’s 25 existing employees by the end of 2026.

Faztek was founded in 2001 as a supplier of aluminum frames specifically for building safety guards for machinery in factories. The company expanded his offerings in 2019 to specialize in custom industrial products such as material handling carts, workstations, safety guards and aisle containments.

The company’s products serve a variety of industries, including aerospace, manufacturing, information technology, and food service.

The new facility, located near Fort Wayne International Airport and just north of 13101 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne, will have an initial capacity of 60,000 square feet, double the company’s current facility. However, the factory could expand to 100,000 square feet.

“We are thrilled to continue to grow our business in the region where we were born and raised,” FazTech Chief Operating Officer Derek Melch said in a news release Monday.

Construction is expected to be completed by spring 2024.

Faztek said people interested in new jobs can find more information here.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation is offering FazTech a conditional tax credit of up to $130,000, but the company is not eligible to claim it until Hoosier workers are hired for new jobs. Additional incentives and training assistance have been approved by the Northeast Indiana Plant and the Allen County Council.

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday.
