Browns “Laundry” “Weekly”

Cleveland (AP) — Jarvis Laundry has overcome the pain of many injuries throughout his lasting NFL career. He finally succumbed to one.

Laundry, who missed a match due to an injury in nine years as a pro, could miss a few weeks early on Sunday’s 31-21 victory over Houston due to a sprained medial collateral ligament suffering. ..

Five professional bowlers were injured while being tackled at the end of the nine-yard completion in Cleveland’s second offensive play.

Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Laundry would be “weekly,” but no other details were provided on his return timeline.

The 28-year-old did not wear a suit only once due to an injury. He also played in one match last year in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Laundry said on Twitter that he was wearing a knee brace. “Every time I put this brace on someone, I have to pay for it in the near future,” he writes.

Stefanski did not rule out Laundry in his home game with Chicago this week. However, Landry is unlikely to return quickly from this type of knee injury and usually takes 3-4 weeks to recover.

When asked if Laundry could avoid being on the injured list, Stefanski said, “We will see.” Players who have transitioned to IR must miss at least three games.

The loss of laundry is a blow to Browns at any time. He is a team leader, a mentor for Cleveland’s young receivers, and one of the most consistent players in the league.

“We lose big time leaders, mentality and playmakers,” said Kareem Hunt’s running back. “I can’t wait for him to be healthy and back there. We just have to be with us.

“Hopefully he will be back soon. We will just be able to get out there and play for him and keep winning.”

Prior to playing against the Texans, Laundry won at least two passes in 111 consecutive games. This is the fourth longest consecutive win in NFL history.

Replacing the laundry is not easy, but Browns has several options while on the go.

One of them is Odell Beckham Jr., who may be on the verge of returning home after having a knee surgery at the end of the season in 2020.

Beckham was lined up to start the opening round in Kansas City, but he wasn’t active after Browns told Stefanski that he wasn’t ready for the work he had planned for him.

Stefanski said Beckham’s situation was “independent” of the availability of other players. Last week, Stefanski excluded Beckham a few days before his home opener.

“We will take him and keep watching when he is ready to go,” Stefanski said.

Browns’ safety Grant Delpit, who went to LSU like Laundry and Beckham, showed that his more famous teammates were ready.

“Juice is definitely a big key to our attack and a big key to our team, so without him it would be difficult for weeks, or whatever,” Delpit said of Laundry. Told. “But O (Odel) is back. He definitely plays that role and is the missing part.”

Due to the defeat of Laundry, Browns lacks an experienced wide receiver.

It was believed that Davion Davis might be Cleveland’s option, but the team abandoned him on Monday after his two-game league suspension due to a breach of substance abuse policy. Davis became stronger during the training camp and preseason and won the roster.

Browns misses Laundry and doesn’t know about Beckham’s availability yet, but Hunt is convinced he and his teammates won’t succeed.

“I feel like there are a lot of playmakers on this team,” he said. “I feel like I can carry my luggage and hold it down until one of them returns, so the sooner it is, the better, but what that is is, I’m not in a hurry, they’re in a hurry. Just take your time. “
