Brubaker pitches, attacks Pirates and beats the Slump Cubs

Pittsburgh (AP) — JT Brubaker pitched in six innings, leading the Chicago Cubs 7-1 to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first three RBIs of his career.

Brubaker allowed one run and four hits in five 1/3 innings, four strikeouts and one walk.

His two-run single down the right sideline won a three-run, two-inning, giving Pirates a 3-1 lead.

Bryan Reynolds of Pittsburgh had the third four-hit game of his career.

Trevor Williams was hit hard when he returned to Pittsburgh and spent the first five seasons of his career before being released in November.
