Port Saint John, Florida — While on vacation near a lake in Florida, three California kids had problems after catching a crocodile around their neck and dragging it to the shore.
Officials said the children hooked a rope around a crocodile in Fay Lake Wilderness Park in Port St. John and dragged it to the shore on Thursday night. According to Florida Wildlife Commission spokesman Chad Weber, one 16-year-old was quoted for feeding, seducing, and molesting crocodiles.
The other two children were 6 and 8 years old and were not quoted. Officials said vacationers were not familiar with local gator law.
When the authorities arrived, the crocodile was returning to the water with a rope around his neck. Florida Today It reports that a trapper was called in to remove the rope. The crocodile was also picked up for public security, but Weber did not say whether it was relocated or euthanized.
