According to the communication letter, “The mayor has approved the adoption of the 2022-2023 Annual Action Plan Update for the Integration Plan and its submission to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.”

There is a public participation process for the document and three public inquirys. There is a 30-day commentary release period on the city’s website. From 2021 to 2022, CDBG allocated $ 1,102,838. From 2022 to 2023, CDBG will allocate $ 1,087,241. The HOME program will allocate $ 320,986 from 2021 to 2022 and $ 326,176 from 2022 to 2023. Resources have been assigned to different needs throughout Lima.

The Lima Police Department has partnered with the Allen County Security Office to apply for and accept grants from the US Department of Justice. The Edward Burne Memorial Judicial Assistance Program is often used to assist law enforcement.If awarded, the funds will be totaled $ 25,973. 10% of the grant will be used for administrative expenses. The grant is then given to both the county and the LPD. The Lima Police Station will receive a total of $ 14,285.

Legal Director Anthony Geiger has asked the city council to designate LCIC or Lima Community Improvement Corporation as an agent for the city of Lima.

The city of Lima also announced that Lima’s Vision 2040 plan is open to the public for comment.
