College Basketball: Jackson Triple-Double Leads Toledo Over Miami (Ohio) 87-75

Toledo — On Tuesday night, Mareon Jackson beat Miami (Ohaio) 87-75 with a triple-double of 18 points, a career-leading 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

Spencer Littleson scored 25 points in Toledo (17-6, 12-3 Mid-American Conference). Ryan Rollins added 12 points. JT Shumate was 11 points.

The Rockets have won 15 straight games against Miami.

Daronte Brown scored the highest 21 points of the season and recorded 11 rebounds against the Red Hawks (8-9, 5-7), who lost four games in a row. Dae Dae Grant has added 17 points. Javin Etzler recorded 12 rebounds.

The Rockets will improve 2-0 against the Red Hawks this season. Toledo defeated Miami (Ohio) 90-81 on January 26th.

Bowling Green 75,

Ball State 62

Muncie, Indiana — Justin Turner scored 27 points as Bowling Green outperformed Ball State University. Kaden Metheny has added 21 points to the Falcons.

Daeqwon Plowden scored 11 points and 4 blocks at Bowling Green (12-9, 8-7 Mid-American Conference). Josiah Fulcher, a senior graduate of Lima, has added 4 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and assists.

The Falcons were forced to make the best 23 turnovers of the season.

Jaron Coleman scored 11 points and 6 rebounds against the Cardinals (7-10, 5-7). He also had seven turnovers for six assists. Ishmael El Amin added 11 points. KJ Walton had 11 points and 8 rebounds.

The Falcons won to even out the season series against the Cardinals. Ball State University defeated Bowling Green 88-64 on January 12.

Kent State University 76,

Western Michigan 69

Kalamazoo, Michigan — Giovanni Santiago scored a career-high 22 points when Kent State University beat Western Michigan University 76-69 on Tuesday night.

Malik Jacobs scored 17 points and 7 rebounds at Kent State University (13-5, 10-4 Mid-American Conference). Danny Pippen has added 15 points. Justin Hamilton had 10 points.

B. Artis White scored the highest 20 points of his career, giving Broncos six rebounds (4-13, 3-9). Gregley added 19 points.

The Golden Flash will improve to 2-0 against Broncos during the season. Kent State University defeated western Michigan 80-54 on January 9.

Akron 81,

North Illinois 76

Akron — Bryant Limble Jr. scored 22 points over Akron (13-4, 11-3 Mid-American Conference) with nine home streak wins over northern Illinois (2-12, 1-8) did.

Lauren Christian Jackson scored 19 points and 7 assists against Akron. Ali Ali added 11 points and Michael Wynn scored 10 points.

Zool Kueth scored 21 points against the Huskies. Tyler Cochran recorded the best 20 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists in his career. Chinedu Kingsley Okanu scored 10 points.

Zips leveled the season series against Huskys. Northern Illinois defeated Akron 67-65 on January 12.

Georgia 80,

No.20 Missouri 70

Athens, Georgia — Tumanika Mara scored 15 points, including a big three-point play, and Georgia gathered to defeat Missouri.

Missouri (13-6, 6-6 Southeastern Conference) lost three games in a row. After making a dominant start in the second half, he took the lead of 48-35.

Justin Kia led Georgia (13-8, 6-8) with 16 points. Bulldogs dropped two in a row on each of the ranked teams.

Kamala’s three-point play with 4:55 left defeated 62 all-ties, starting an 18-8 run and ending the game.

Kobe Brown led the Tigers with the best 21 points of his career. Mark Smith and Xavier Pinson were 11 each.

No.24 Arkansas 75,

Florida 64

Fayetteville, Arkansas — Davonte Davis led the four Arkansas players in double digits with 18 points, driving the Razorbacks over Florida.

Arkansas (17-5, 9-4 Southeastern Conference) made it into the Top 25 for the first time since 2018 on Monday, winning seven games in a row.

Florida (10-6, 6-5) turned the deficit in the second half of 15 points into the lead with 4:40 remaining after the layup of Tyree Appleby. Davis and Jalen Vertical made a back-to-back bucket, Justin Smith blocked Anthony Druj with a rim, and Moses Moody pushed Arkansas back forward with two belongings, with less than 1:30 left.
