West Chester police responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on Ohio Route 747 in West Chester that left a man entrapped in his vehicle under a semi Sunday evening.Police arrived on the scene at approximately 8:24 p.m. and safely extracted the occupant from the trapped vehicle. Police say the occupant was transported to West Chester Hospital in critical condition. Police have not shared his identity.The driver of the semi was not injured.Firefighters arrived on the scene, and they were able to shut the car’s engine off to prevent any explosions.Police say a tow truck is on the way to the scene to clear the road for re-open.State Route 747 is closed in both directions at Duff Drive. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
