Deloitte will open an office in the old Fountain Place building in downtown Foundry Development, the project developers announced on Tuesday.
Deloitte, a global financial services company, is the first office tenant to sign a contract for space within a building with Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC).
3CDC is redeveloping the site on the corner of Fifth Street and Vine Street into a new multipurpose development of $ 51 million.
Royce, a French brasserie serving charcuterie, patties and other classic French cuisine, was the first signed tenant and will open later this year. Enquirer previously reported.
Deloitte leases space on the second floor of a building along Vine Street, with views of the Fountain Square directly across the street.
Employees will move from their existing offices to Foundry, a spokeswoman for the company said.
Construction of the new office space will begin soon and will be completed in late 2021 or early 2022, according to 3CDC.
Deloitte’s announcement will be made when office workers begin to return to downtown after a pandemic pause of more than a year.
“We are pleased to announce Deloitte as the foundry’s first office tenant,” said Katie Westbrook, 3CDC’s development manager for the project. “This is the first of many exciting announcements to be made in the coming months, as more world-class organizations like Deloitte are working to fill this important building in the heart of the city. I hope there is. “
