Disney’s Food & Wine Festival is back

The 2022 Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Theme Park, which runs from March 4th to April 26th, features Napa Valley wines, San Diego beer, Central Coast artichoke hearts, and pastries topped with Northern California fruits. Included in.

The festival will feature chef and mixology demonstrations, children’s culinary-themed stage shows, and special menus at restaurants in Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney Shopping District. The park’s kiosks and restaurants also offer a variety of adult California wines, beers, and cocktails.

However, the main attraction of the annual festival is the marketplace, a collection of 12 food kiosks throughout the park that offers tasting-sized pieces of hot and cold dishes inspired by California cuisine. The menu changes each year, with only a handful of customer favorites visiting repeatedly each year. Individual foods are available for prices ranging from $ 4.25 to $ 8.50. Alternatively, park visitors can purchase a “sip and taste” pass to choose from eight dishes or non-alcoholic beverages for $ 57.

The kiosk has a theme celebrating California’s most famous crops and artisan food. These include the Avocado Time booth, Garlic Kiss, I Heart Artichoke, Peppers Caliente, Nuts About Cheese, Berry Patches, and LA Style with some of Los Angeles’ famous food truck specialties.

With the opening of the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park last year, several food stations in that area of ​​the park offer bite-sized festival food items that can be purchased with a bite-and-tasting pass.

Every year, Disneyland Resort’s culinary team conducts extensive research to determine the hottest new culinary trends, ethnic flavors, seasonings and ingredients. In recent years, this has included plant-based impossible burger fillings, chicken and waffles, vine me sandwiches, lavender-injected cold brew coffee, and vegan options made with Anaheim Chile Legeno’s “bite”.

Fried artichoke dip sprinkled with chicharron: California artichoke hearts are wrapped in crushed chicharron (crispy pork skin), fried, sprinkled with Oaxaca cheese and served in a bed of smoked pepper crema. This dish can be found at the I Heart Artichokes kiosk.

Snickers Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron: Mickey Mouse Ear Macaroons are one of the best-selling desserts at the festival each year. This year’s treat is made from chocolate macaron cookies, stuffed with caramel ganache and snickers candy bar pieces, and topped with nuts and chocolate glaze. Cooking demonstration

Another feature of this year’s festival is that both Disneyland Resort chefs and visiting chefs throughout California will demonstrate cooking over the weekend.

Chef’s event: Over 30 chefs from across California and Disneyland Resort will be demonstrating a free one-hour meal on Saturday and Sunday at 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm on stage in the park’s Hollywood Land area. Among the chefs this year is the longtime San Diego Rich Sweeney, who participated in the Season 5 television series Top Chef and is now the Executive Chef at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Garden at Liberty Station. Sweeney will be demonstrating on April 3rd.
