Squid Game Challenge takes over YSU campus

youngstown, ohio (WKBN) — Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to survive the Squid Game? Youngstown residents took on the challenge Sunday afternoon at Youngstown State University.

The Squid Game Challenge invited participants from all walks of life to test their skill, courage and determination.

The series itself revolves around secret contests where players risk their lives to play a series of dangerous children's games. In the Youngstown edition, his 225 contestants competed for a $456 prize, named after the popular Her Netflix series.

“All these people came to participate and have a good time,” said “game master” Ivan Bosniak. “I think a lot of people come here to have fun and experience something they've never experienced before. Squid Games doesn't happen often, but today we're bringing it to life. We’re bringing it to Youngstown.”

The Squid Game Challenge isn't the only adventure Bosniak has in store. He is the creative force behind this event and also plans to put a twist on Amazing His Races around Youngstown.
