Piqua woman found dead in forest, two charged

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people have been charged after the dead body of a Piqua woman was found in the woods outside Port Jefferson.

Charlenia O’Neill’s body was found in a wooded area outside Port Jefferson on May 17 after disappearing 10 days earlier, according to Miami Valley Today’s partners.

Police at Piqua investigated and arrested two suspects, Danelle King, 51, and Julie Jenkins, 43, on drug-related charges.

Both were indicted on separate charges on Thursday, June 15.

Mr. King is currently indicted for conspiracy to commit corpse abuse, and Mr. Jenkins faces one count of corpse abuse. Both are fifth-degree felonies.
