Indianapolis (AP) — Leonard Fournette won a four-touchdown match on Sunday with a goal of 28 yards with 20 seconds remaining, giving Tampa Bay a 38-31 come-from-behind victory in Indianapolis.
Tom Brady led the Buccaneers (8-3) in an eight-play, 75-yard tiebreaker drive after regaining the ball at 3:29. Fornet was in a hurry 17 times with 100 yards and 3 scores. He also caught Brady’s only touchdown pass.
The defending Super Bowl champion has won two consecutive victories overall, but Brady has consistently improved to 16-4 against Colts in his first appearance with Indy in Tampa Bay.
Indy (6-6) had a chance to work overtime when Isaia Rogers returned the 71-yard kick-off to Bucks’ 32-yard line with 10 seconds remaining. However, Carson Wentz’s first pass to Jack Doyle was incomplete, and former Colts cornerback Pierre Desir picked Wentz near the goal line when the time was up.
The difference was sales. Tampa Bay converted the first three takeouts into 17 points, two taking Colts’ scoring chance.
Packers 36, Rams 28
Green Bay, Wisconsin (AP) —Aaron Rodgers endured the pain of a toe injury, threw two touchdown passes and ran for the score.
Rams beat Green Bay 11-0 in the fourth quarter, but the comeback attempt ended when Adrian Amos regained an onside kick with 17 seconds remaining.
Rogers was 28 out of 45 at 307 yards when the Packers bounced off a 34-31 defeat in Minnesota. The active MVP threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Randall Cobb and a 5-yard touchdown pass to AJ Dillon.
Green Bay (9-3) has never lost a series of matches during the same season during Matt LaFleur’s three-year coaching career.
Rams (7-4) dropped three games in a row and made constant mistakes to create a scoring chance for Green Bay. It scored 16 points in three Rams turnovers.
Patriots 36, Titans 13
Foxborough, Massachusetts (AP) — Mac Jones threw two touchdown passes, New England’s defense was forced to make four turnovers, and the Patriots achieved six consecutive victories.
The victory snapped two skids against the Titans of New England. The Patriots haven’t beat Tennessee since Mike Vrabel, a former Patriots linebacker, took over as coach in 2018. New England (8-4) improved 6-1 against AFC opponents this season.
Jones completed 23 out of 32 passes at 310 yards. Kendrick Bourne held both Patriots TD receptions and finished with five catches at 61 yards.
The Titans (8-4) remained close early, but could not withstand a series of errors, including three fumbles due to running backs and interception by Ryan Tannehill. He finished 11 of 21 with 93 yards and touchdown.
Broncos 28, Chargers 13
Denver (AP) —Rookie Patrick Sirtain II picked Justin Herbert twice and returned the second one 70 yards for a touchdown. The Broncos big win sets the AFC West lead showdown in Kansas City next weekend. There, the match between Denver (6-5) and Chiefs (7-4) was already changed on Sunday night.
Sirtain’s first passcut took place in the end zone of the pass for tight-end Jared Cook at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Broncos converted its takeaway to touchdown when Teddy Bridgewater hit the tight-end Eric Sobert from 9 yards to 21-7.
