Giants interview Titans Montiossen Fort for GM

East Rutherford, NJ-Montiossen Fort is today the sixth candidate to interview the Giants’ vacant general manager position.

Ossenfort spoke with President John Mara, Chairman Steve Tisch, and Senior Vice President of Players Chris Mara at a video conference this afternoon. The first interview with the candidate takes place in a remote location.

43-year-old Ossenfort is about to finish his second season as the Tennessee Titans player director. The Titans are the top seeds in the AFC playoffs after winning the division with a record of 12-5.

Prior to being hired by the Titans in 2020, Ossenfort spent 14 years at the New England Patriots and was the University Scout Director of the organization for the last 6 years.

Ossenfort was previously the Assistant Director of the Patriots College Scouts. He began his second mission in New England in 2006. This is my first three-year mission as an Area Scout. Ossenfort was a national scout in 2009-10.

Ossenfort’s first NFL experience came in 2001 as a training camp intern at the Minnesota Vikings. He gained his first HR experience in 2002 as an intern in the professional HR department at the Houston Texans. In 2003, he was the Patriots Human Resources Assistant. Ossenfort returned to Houston as a Texans professional and college scout assistant. In 2005, he was a college scout at the Texans.

Ossenfort was a quarterback at the University of Minnesota Morris, Faculty of Third School, a four-year letterman and a two-year starter. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in Economics and Business Administration. Ossenfort later earned a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in sports management from Ohio University.

He is from Luverne, Minnesota, and Ossenfort and his wife Shannon have three daughters, Emery Kairin, Finliebetty, and Laundry Margot.
