Spring is here: Northeast Ohio events and activities

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Spring is here! Flowers are blooming and the sun is shining more often, although Ohio's temperatures don't always reflect it. So, the season for spring activities has arrived!

With so many outdoor, indoor and family-friendly events happening this spring in Northeast Ohio, there's sure to be something for everyone.

Fox 8 News has compiled a list of upcoming events you can attend this year. Check it out below.

March 23rd: Summit Metroparks Maple Mania

Guests can learn about maple syrup production with Summit Count naturalists at Summit Metroparks Maple Mania. Guests will learn all about felling trees, harvesting sap, and actually making syrup at the Twinsburg Ledges Area & Nature Center. You can also taste the fresh local syrup yourself.

Weekends in March: Spring Garden at Tower City Center

This spring, head to Tower City Center to see the spring gardens. Cleveland Bucket List is hosting an event where guests can meet the Easter Bunny and do some spring crafting. Spring Garden at Tower City Center is open Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m.

March 22nd-24th: Cleveland Home & Renovation Expo

The Cleveland Home & Renovation Expo will be held March 22-24 at the IX Center in Cleveland. Guests can purchase home products and services and view beautiful home displays for home improvement inspiration. According to the Cleveland Home & Remodeling Expo website, the expo will feature more than 300 booths.

March 25th: Guided walking tour: See Cleveland from the inside

April 1st: Dingus Day in Cleveland

Cleveland goes all out on Dingus Day! This Polish holiday is celebrated with food, dance, and Polish culture and traditions.

The ticketed event, sponsored by Cleveland Bucket List, will shut down several blocks of Detroit Avenue and feature entertainment on the Happy Dog Street Stage from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

April 2: Guided Walking Tour: Downton Public Art

From April 3rd to 13th: cleveland international film festival

The 48th Cleveland International Film Festival will be held at Playhouse Square from April 3rd to 13th. This year's lineup includes more than 360 films from 60 countries. Click here for everything you need to know.

From April 4th to 7th: NCAA Party on the Plaza And the women's final 4

All eyes will be on Cleveland as the city prepares to host the 2024 NCAA Women's Final Four on April 7th. NCAA leadership, ESPN and the Cleveland organization are encouraging fans to attend the tournament, which will be held at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse downtown, even if the games are not in-person. Tickets to any game. Free events will also be held, including a fan festival featuring sports activities and pep rallies. There will also be a free Super Saturday concert featuring the Rats, a pregame party in the plaza, a unique parade just for kids, and special presentations and motivational discussions about women's sports.

April 5th to 8th: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Solar Fest

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame SolarFest is a four-day celebration of the total solar eclipse from Friday, April 5th to Monday, April 8th.

The weekend event includes live music, trivia contests, family programming, a selection of “celestial” artifacts from the Rock Hall archives, an eclipse-themed soundtrack that plays throughout the weekend, and artists such as David Bowie. Includes activities such as an album viewing party that celebrates music. The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.

April 8: Cleveland Guardians home opener

The Cleveland Guardians' home opener, which will be played on the same day as the total solar eclipse, is scheduled for April 8th. The ceremonial first pitch is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox.
