Regina Nowak was born in Germany in 1922. She emigrated to the Toledo area in 1952 before entering the bar business.

Regina Nowak was born in Germany in 1922 and was part of a family of six.
She emigrated to the Toledo area in 1952. She came to Toledo because her uncle had already settled in the area.
While in Toledo, Regina had a lot of work – cleaning homes for people, working with peerless molded plastic in Foodtown. In 1971 she entered the bar business, she ran the Georges Nightclub on South Avenue and Broadway Street in South Toledo for nearly 30 years, and she retired in 1999.
Regina’s family has grown over the years. She has two children and now she has more than 25 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Her husband, seven years younger than her, died last year. She believes she has a happy family with her good husband for her long life.
Regina also shared her homeland love through music and recipes and continued to preserve German traditions and traditions.
Her favorite German food was Rinderroulade.
