Hometown success story returns to his springboard in Wintersville, Ohio

Jefferson County, Ohio (WTRF) —

Geoffrey Hatcher is a noted author and actor, and several of his productions have been performed on Broadway.

Now he is back in Wintersville and sharing his experiences through the Herald-Star Speaker Series, which WTRF sponsors the event.

This is the 10th annual speaker series, and Herald-Star’s Ross Gallabrese says Jeffrey is an old friend joining the tradition of the event.

“I think it’s a great lesson, especially for young people, that you can do whatever you want. No. Jeff comes from a small town but has taken what he learned in our small town and small community and used it to conquer the world.“

Raised in the Steubenville area, Hatcher has turned many of his life experiences into art.

He explains what his message is to all who come to listen.

And he delivered this message after receiving a warm welcome from the community that shaped him.

He returned home with the same heart he left at Wintersville High School, but entered a new environment with a brand new look specifically built to usher in a future like his.
