Jets quarterback Zach Wilson misses for 2-4 weeks

New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will be absent from a sprained PCL for two to four weeks, ESPN reported Monday, citing MRI results.

Wilson injured his right knee on Sunday after Jets lost 54-13 to the New England Patriots.

Wilson, who was ranked second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, was a big hit from Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon at the beginning of the second quarter. He stayed on the ground before being helped by the trainer. He was evaluated in a medical tent before heading to the changing room.

22-year-old Wilson completed 6 out of 10 passes at 51 yards before the end of the contest. This season he passed 1,168 yards with four touchdowns and nine intercepts with six starts.

He was replaced by Mike White, who played the NFL game for the first time. In his first career pass attempt, White threw a three-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis to cut the New England lead to 17-7.

White, 26, was the 2018 Dallas Cowboys fifth round pick. He has been with Jets since 2019. White finished 202 yards with a 20-of-32 pass in 1TD and two intercepts.

Jets (1-5) will host the Cincinnati Bengals (5-2) next Sunday.
