Four Employees Take Leave After Bradley Gillespie and James Lee Fugitive from Allen/Oakwood Correctional Facility

LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) — Four staff members went on leave following the escape of two inmates from the Allen/Oakwood Correctional Facility.

A recent investigation found that prisoners— Bradley Gillespie and James Lee — got out of prison by hiding in a trash can. Lee was arrested by law enforcement, but Gillespie is on the run.

The names and titles of prison officials are as follows:

• Major Karl Vendros
• Tremon Glenn Crawford, prison officer
• Rain Patterson, prison officer
• Taylor Robbie, prison officer

Additional individuals may be placed on administrative leave as the investigation continues. Both a criminal investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol (OSHP) and an internal investigation by the ODRC are ongoing.

Anyone with information about Gillespie is encouraged to contact the OSHP Findlay Patrol Post at 419-423-1414 or the U.S. Security Service at 1-866-4WANTED. Police are urging people to stay away from Gillespie and call 911 immediately if they encounter him.
