Adelaide [Australia]January 15 (ANI): Madison Keys performed overwhelmingly in the Adelaide International 2 final on Saturday, surrendering only three games against American Alison Riske.
Keys played in his first final since January 2020, winning his first title in two and a half years by defeating Risk 6-1 and 6-2.
Keys entered Adelaide in the world’s No. 87, the lowest ranking in nine years, winning the title and returning to the top 60. This week, the previous World No. 7 defeated five players, including three seeds.
She belted 28 winners to three at risk in a 66-minute rout and won her sixth career WTA singles title. The final Keys title was held in August 2019 in Cincinnati.
She also extended her risk advantage to six victories in seven career meetings. This is a winning streak that dates back eight years. (ANI)
