Former Athens city official pleads guilty to stealing $1.5 million from city housing authority

Athens, Ohio (WCMH) – A Former Athens City Official pleaded guilty this week to stealing $1.5 million from the city.

Jody Ricardo, former secretary general of the Athens Metropolitan Housing Authority, was sentenced to eight to 12 years in prison and ordered to pay $2,325,395 in compensation to the housing authority.
