Columbus, Ohio — A day Raquel DeJarnett will never forget. April 13, 2021. It was a time when her and many others’ lives would change.
Her 6-year-old daughter Rema Hit and run on Carlton Avenue.
Now, almost two years later, she’s demanding justice.”I want to know who did this, why they left her there, why they didn’t stop and help her.
She remembers every moment spent with her daughter. “Even when she was young, she could talk to anyone and approach anyone,” she said. “She was very sweet, very outspoken, and she had confidence in herself. She was the middle child, so now that she knew how to keep everything in balance in her household, she It was glue.
DeJarnett remembers how the accident happened that day in April. Rema and her four other siblings had just returned from school and gone outside to play with their new scooters.

That is why she is determined to ensure that her daughter gets the justice she deserves.
DeJarnett plans to commemorate her daughter on April 16 of this year, releasing a balloon where she was hit.
