USCG rescues four people from burning boat

Catawba Island, Ohio — Four people had to be rescued after a large boat fire broke out on Sunday morning near Catawba Island.

of us coast guard No injuries were reported after the 25-foot ship was engulfed in smoke and flames.

The USCG said it used the Good Samaritan ship to rescue people who had been brought to Gem Beach to await EMS.

It is unknown at this time what caused the boat to catch fire.
