Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio State University, backed by Treveyon Henderson, was named this week’s co-attack player and this week’s freshman for Big Ten Football for its record performance at Buckeyes on Saturday. 41-20 beats Tulsa.
Henderson rushed three touchdowns with 24 carries, 277 yards.He set new Ohio A record of a rushing yard single game freshman breaking the previous record of 239 yards set by Archie Griffin in 1972.
Henderson’s 277 Rushyard is the most FBS player in the game this season, with Trey Sermon’s 331 vs. Northwestern University and Eddie George’s 314 vs. in the 2020 Big Ten Football Championship game. Illinois in 1995.
This is Henderson’s first career attack player of the week and the honor of this week’s freshmen. He shares this week’s Player Awards with Michigan State University Quarterback Peyton Thorne. Peyton Thorne’s 261 yards and four touchdowns helped Spartan win the Miami Hurricanes 38-17.
