Ohio woman scratches ticket, wins $1 million in 20 years

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) — Ohio woman wins top prize in Ohio lottery game.

Maureen McDonnell of Brooklyn, a suburb of Cleveland, won $1 million a year for 20 years. The winner purchased the winning “$50 billion” scratch-off lottery ticket at Memphis Shell, Block 7200 Memphis Avenue, Cleveland.

McDonnell chose the pension award, which means he will take home an estimated $720,000 in prize money each year for the next 20 years.

The Ohio Lottery says, “Maureen opted for the pension award, $1 million a year for 20 years before taxes.” “After federal and state tax withholding, she’ll take home about $720,000 a year over 20 years.”

As of Friday, July 14th, there are still some great prizes up for grabs, including:

• Three $1 million prizes left for 20 years
• 88 prizes of $50,000 a year, left for 20 years

There are still other prizes in the “$50 billion” lottery game.
