Ohio State University issues a safety warning after a student robs off campus

Columbus (WCMH) — The Ohio State University issued a safety warning on Monday night after two separate robbers in two separate related incidents near the campus.

According to safety alerts, robbery occurred simultaneously in the areas of East 16 Avenue and Indianola Avenue.

In both cases, the male OSU student was walking alone when an unknown male suspect approached from behind. The suspect then demands the victim’s cell phone, wallet, and other personal belongings.

No weapons were seen and there was no threat of violence, but the suspect stole the student’s personal belongings.

The suspect reportedly fled the area together.
