Ohio State University QBCJ Stroud Wins 5th Freshman of the Week

Stroud completed a 21-of-28 pass with 266 yards and four touchdowns against Indiana with a 54-7 victory.

Columbus, Ohio — CJ Stroud of The Ohio State University Quarterback won the honor of the 5th Big Ten Conference Freshman of the Week on Monday.

Stroud completed a 21-of-28 pass with 266 yards and four touchdowns against Indiana with a 54-7 victory.

He touched down the Birth to all six possessions in the first half, leading 44-7 in the break.

Stroud is currently second in the nation with a quarterback rating (192.7), sixth with a touchdown pass (18), and seventh with a yard per game (327.5).

In the last three games, he has completed 73.8% (62-of-84) of his passes at 1,002 yards with 14 touchdowns and no pass cuts.

Buckeye was selected as a freshman at the conference for all seven games of the season.

In addition to Stroud’s five honors, running back Tre Veyon Henderson and quarterback Kyle McCord won the honors on September 20th and 27th, respectively.

Most Freshman of the Week awards have seven school records by JT Barrett in 2014.
