Woman run over by ambulance in Ohio

Palma Heights, Ohio (WJW) – Palma Heights Police Station We are investigating the death of a 68-year-old woman who was run over by an ambulance.

Officers and paramedics were dispatched to the West Ridgewood Doctor’s 10,000-block apartment on Saturday, June 17, according to a police press release.^tharound 9pm

Police said a neighbor called to check on the safety of the 68-year-old woman.

Police said the woman refused treatment.

But after the paramedics left, the woman got off the elevator and went to the front passenger seat of the ambulance, where she fell, according to witnesses.

Police said the woman was hit by a departing ambulance.

According to a police station press release, paramedics were unaware that the woman was out.

The woman died on the spot. Her identity has not been determined.

Detective Adam Sloan said in a press release, “At this time, there is no evidence of reckless or negligent conduct by members of the Palma Heights Fire Department.”

The accident is still under investigation.
