Warming up, rain over the weekend, cold again

A high pressure system will push east, and a southwesterly current will bring unseasonably warm weather in the 80s, with a chilly start to the week. Clouds gradually increase as moisture moves northward in front of the cold front.

A red flag warning has been issued for central and southern Ohio due to increased risk of wildfires this afternoon with light breezes (20-25 mph) and dry fuel (vegetation).

A shower will arrive Friday afternoon, and numbers will cool off into the mid-70s. As the storm wave moves north, the front will stall southeast of the region on Saturday, creating a wet and chilly day.

Unseasonably cold weather will continue over the weekend. Highs can stay in the 40s on Sunday.

Next week starts on the cool side, with Monday morning and afternoon readings in the 50s and patchy frost. A high pressure system will develop across the region, and the skies will be partly clear to partly clear.

Gradual warm-ups are carried out until the middle of the week.
