Parents have responded differently to Columbus City School’s Maskman date

Some parents are looking forward to wearing masks and sending their children to Columbus City School in the fall. Others, including many teachers, are not so many.

The largest district in the state with about 47,000 students Last week we updated our mask policy, requiring students, staff and visitors to wear masks in school buildings. On the school bus, full face-to-face classes will resume at the end of the following month. Previously, the district encouraged masks, but they were not required.

“No teacher wants to wear a mask and go to school in the fall, but I understand if it keeps people safe,” said John Connerio, president of the Columbus Education Society. ..
