Authorities are on the scene of an incident involving a pedestrian in west Toledo Friday morning.
According to dispatch authorities, a person was struck in front of Fire Station 23 in the 2700 block of West Laskey Road at approximately 8 a.m.
According to a Toledo police report, a driver was traveling eastbound on Laskey toward Douglas when a flagger working for a construction company attempted to stop traffic. The worker was wearing reflective gear.
The driver failed to stop, police claimed, and then struck the construction worker, who sustained blunt force trauma.
The victim, a male, was transported to the hospital for treatment, according to a police report. Police are withholding the name of the victim pending family notification.
The incident has impacted traffic, including a closure on a portion of West Laskey.
