Greenville, Pennsylvania (WKBN) – A multi-million dollar renovation project began Friday at Thiel University with a groundbreaking ceremony.
Members of the Spence family joined university leaders, community members and student leaders for the groundbreaking ceremony for the Daniel and Dorothy Spence Academic Center.
Daniel Spence and his late wife, Dorothy, donated $4 million to the multi-phase project, which focuses on the entrance, investments in the nursing department, modernization of labs and classrooms, and an entrance to the Langheim Memorial Library.
This center was established in 1971.
