Rocky River, Ohio (WOIO)-Lock your car! This is a message that police have sent to the community many times, but it needs to be repeated as some people still have their cars stolen in the “crisis of opportunity”.
When Rocky River police discovered that a car had been stolen from their city, three more stolen cars were found in the suburbs of Cleveland and were taken away on Wednesday.
Rocky River police said police were sent to reports that the car had been stolen on July 21, where the car was taken with the key.
Police officers on the scene learned that another car under three houses had entered while the lock was unlocked, but nothing was removed from it, even though valuable items were clearly visible. Said the police.
Police said police and detectives quickly gathered the right information and found the car in Cleveland just hours later.
According to police, three other cars were found and removed while recovering the stolen car.
Rocky River police shared two points from these incidents.
-Items in the unlocked vehicle entered were not retrieved. It seems that the criminals were especially going to steal the vehicle.
-Neither vehicle was forced into the country, and these seemed to be opportunity crimes.
We politely ask you for two benefits. Lock your home and car, and if you see something, say something. You know the neighborhood you live in, you know ordinary people and cars. If you find something strange, please call us. We come to check it out! Don’t worry about eavesdropping on us, we want to be eavesdropped! That’s why you pay high taxes.
