Firefighters used about 10,000 gallons of water to extinguish the flames with the help of surrounding departments.
Trumbull, Ohio (WKBN) – The Newton Falls Joint Fire Department was summoned to a tractor trailer fire at Ohio Turnpike on Saturday night.
The crew was summoned to the area of Mile Marker 212 at around 11:50 pm
According to fire authorities, the truck was carrying 40,000 pounds of mixed cargo.
With the help of the Rosetown, Warren Township, Braceville, and Milton Township fire departments, the crew used about 10,000 gallons of water to extinguish the flames.
The driver was able to get off safely and no one was injured.
There is an estimated $ 200,000 loss from the fire.
