Shawn Mendes Postpones Wonder World Tour for Mental Health

The “Stitches” singer said he has been touring since he was 15 years old.

St. Paul, Minnesota — Shawn Mendes is pushing a pause on his “Wonder” world tour to take care of his mental health.

“This hurts me, but unfortunately the next three weeks of the show in Uncasville, Connecticut need to be postponed until further notice,” said the 23-year-old singer. I am writing. The “Stitches” hit maker said he had spent a few years off the road and thought he was ready to start again, but said he had reached a “breakpoint” due to the pressure and stress of the tour.

“After talking to my team and health professionals, first and foremost, I need to take the time to heal and care for myself and my mental health,” Mendes writes. “As soon as we get more updates, we promise to let you know that we love you.”

Mendes has long been open about mental health with fans. In a tweet in April 2022, he said he sometimes asked himself what to do in his life.

The tour was scheduled until October, Shows scheduled after July 29th were not postponed as of Saturday.
