Texans welcomes “boost” from QB Tyrod Taylor’s return

Houston Texans coach David Curry expects a quarterback boost for his 1-6 club this week.

No, it’s not Deshaun Watson, a $ 150 million quarterback.

Curry said Monday that he would be back this week after 31-year-old Tyrod Taylor missed five games while recovering from hamstring tensions. The Texans won the first week and led the Cleveland Browns in the second week, along with Taylor, who had been a starter for the Ravens, Bills, Browns and Chargers before signing with Houston in the off-season.

When Taylor was injured in Cleveland, the Texans turned to rookie Davis Mills.

Taylor will resume full practice on Wednesday as the Texans prepare to get involved with the Los Angeles Rams (6-1).

“I don’t know if he can go, but I’ll practice on Wednesday.” Curry said, “We only take it every day,” and “we need a lift.”

Obviously, there will be no rise from Watson unless it comes in the form of draft capital from trade.

According to reports, the Texans are actively involved with Watson, who has a veto through the ban, and other teams seeking quarterbacks before the November 2 trading deadline.
