The Governor of New York apologizes after alleging sexual harassment.Congressman requests investigation

Washington (NEXSTAR) — New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says he’s sorry for his past actions.

“It was unintentional, so I sincerely apologize,” Kuomo said at a press conference Wednesday.

The governor has stated that he will cooperate in investigating sexual harassment charges.

Senate leader Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) says that’s right.

“Mr. Rush, Mr. Boylan, and Mr. Bennett’s claims are serious and very annoying. These women need to listen,” Schumer said.

He continued: “I know the Attorney General will conduct a complete, completely independent and thorough investigation without interference.”

US Senator Marco Rubio (Republican) said it was too early to make a final decision.

“We shouldn’t stigmatize or chase whistleblowers because it’s not easy to move them forward, but they also have the right to proper procedure. This is a two-way path.” Rubio said.

However, Rubio sees a double standard in how some people respond to these claims.

“If you’re going to react like these people do when you’re Republican, they have to do that when you’re Democrat, or they lose all the trust to raise this topic. , Actually hurt the cause they claim to support, “Rubio said.

Rep. Tom Reid (RN.Y.) says Cuomo should resign, but state legislators think they should take action on their own.

“I haven’t seen it happen, it’s just realistic, and that’s why I think the more realistic conclusions here are impeachment,” Reed said.
