Dayton Police Fulfill Holiday Wishes Through Angel Tree Program

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) — The Dayton Police Department is fulfilling the wishes of more than 50 families throughout the Miami Valley, brightening up the holiday season with gifts of toys and clothing.

Dayton PD is in the middle of the annual Angel Tree Drive with the Fraternal Order of Police.

Dayton Police Sergeant Daniel Cash said: “Some of our family members have experienced loss, whether it’s a provider or multiple providers.

“There are some families where the grandparents are raising the grandchildren because the child’s mother has died.”

This program dates back to 2012 in the department.

Sergeant Cash said November would be the best time to participate in next year’s Angel Tree program.
