Two were imprisoned after fleeing Putnam County lawmakers

Ottawa — Two people were detained after fleeing law enforcement agencies in Putnam County late Thursday.

Just before midnight on Thursday, an Ottawa police officer attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Mount Victory’s Michael Moore, 29, according to a report from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. At high speed.

The chase led police to Hancock County and then back to Putnam County, where the vehicle began to stop behind the Pandora-Gilboa School. Moore of Kenton and passenger Erin Douglas, 30, fled to the nearby woodlands.

Douglas was arrested by the K9 unit at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. Moore was detained without incident. Both face unspecified charges.

Two unnamed passengers were released free of charge.
