The United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) has increased the compensation of those who provided information to police and arrested and convicted a person involved in the June 2 shooting of a mail carrier in Cleveland.
Last week, USPIS officials announced a $ 10,000 bounty, but on Monday the agency raised the bounty up to $ 50,000.
The incident took place around 3 pm on East 88th Street on the eastern side of the city.
In the release, a representative of USPIS said, “The Postal Inspection Service takes the safety and well-being of postal service employees very seriously and continues to focus on the needs and safety of their employees. We continue to monitor the situation very carefully. It will be sent to 3News.
