Burbank, CA — Batman’s Secret Cave, Harry Potter Cupboard under the stairs, and the Friends apartment are the main highlights of Warner Bros.’s huge studio lot expansion.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood reopened more than a year after the door was closed due to a coronavirus pandemic. Participants will now have the opportunity to explore the studio’s nearly 100-year history of television and filmmaking, focusing on the DC Universe and “Harry Potter.”
A few days before the tour began in a studio in Southern California in late June, we were directly seen welcoming families with children over the age of five.
Warner Bros. officials said the expansion, including the new building, took five years to develop in Burbank. Authorities say studio tours follow the COVID-19 safety protocol for all cities, states, and federals.
“One of the great things about Warner Bros. is the wonderful history of the legendary epic movie,” said Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman, who helped resume the tour.
The main features of the tour are:
Participants can walk along the aerial photographs of the vast Studio Lot, so there are plenty of opportunities to take selfies at the duplicated iconic “WB” water tower. The walls are lined with monuments to the titles of studio movies and TV animations dating back to 1923. The highlights of this room include photographs of classic movies such as “Casablanca” and “Little Caesar.”
There is a dedicated wall area for the Oscar-winning movie Million Dollar Baby and boxing gloves worn by Hilary Swank. JR’Ewing boots and hats from the TV series “Dallas” are also on display. There are several miniature sound stages throughout the exhibition with the words “Don’t sit down”.
Step into the behind-the-scenes world of DC superheroes and villains. One of the fascinating aspects is the secret bat cave. Here you can find Tim Burton’s original “Batman” real Batmobile, “The Dark Knight” tumbler, and “Batman vs Superman” Batwing.
Costumes worn by Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Flash are on display. Other prominent ones include Harley Quinn and Jared Leto’s Joker costumes from Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad. In addition to Christopher Reeve’s “Superman” outfit, the show will feature Michael Keaton’s suit from the 1989 movie “Batman” and Lynda Carter’s “Wonder Woman” from the classic 1970s television show. There are costumes.
In an interactive experience, visitors can experience the sparkling Hestia lasso of Wonder Woman 1984.
Patty Jenkins, director of the recent “Wonder Woman” movie, said she enjoyed seeing the costumes she wore in her movie and the other DC characters on display.
“It seems very important to have a museum to celebrate,” she said. “Then it’s an incredible honor to have something for your film there too, and it’s a very surreal intersection of the boundaries between these two things.”
Harry Potter & Fantastic Beast
4 Take the opportunity to take a photo in the Harry Potter cupboard under the steps of Privet Drive and understand the technique of making potions with a recreated set of “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts”.
Guests can sit under the sort hat that determines the Hogwarts home. And the class is in a session to learn about unique creatures in Newt Scamander’s magical creature hut.
“You can experience action, magic and fun, props and costumes, and a recreated set,” said Bonnie Wright, who starred as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter series.
Stage 48: Script to Screen has a “Friends” boutique with an expanded Central Perk Café. The area recreates show-inspired sets such as Joey and Chandler’s apartments, Monica’s apartments and Central Park. The costumes and other props worn by the cast are for the 25th anniversary of 2019. Includes Monica’s famous door frame and spirit jerseys, coffee mugs, souvenirs and collectibles inspired by the reunion of “Friends”.
Central Park offers a New York deli-style menu that includes a special blend of Central Park coffee, pizza wedges, corned beef melts and cold sandwiches.
“I don’t think people will want to leave,” said Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice’s repetitive role in “Friends.” The hit television series featured Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.
“It feels like a show,” Wheeler continued. “It feels like a lane of memory. I think people will be really, really excited to spend time walking here.”
Celebrate the award season
The tour concludes with a spotlight on costumes and props, including the jersey worn by the late Chadwick Boseman as Jackie Robinson in the movie 42 and the miniature airship of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner. .. The trombone played by Robert Preston in “Music Man” is also on display.
Guests have the opportunity to hold a genuine Oscar trophy. (Be sure to hold it with both hands. It is heavy.)
