University of Cincinnati to study groundwater along Great Miami River

Dayton, Ohio (WDTN) — Researchers at the University of Cincinnati are drilling wells to find out how PFA, known as the “forever chemical,” enters our water supplies.

The university's Department of Earth Sciences is working with the EPA and others to study groundwater along the Great Miami River. This is the water source for over 2 million Ohioans.

The study will examine how these toxins enter underground aquifers from distant sources.
