ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) – The Cumberland Trail Fire District and Bemont County Sheriff’s Department are facing off in a “Battle of the Badges” for a good cause.
This Wednesday, March 13thth Both departments will participate in a celebrity basketball game at the new Ohio University Eastern Eco Court, where “Guns & Horses” will play to raise money for the American Heart Association.
This is all a joint effort towards the 2024 Women of Impact campaign.
“We’re really working to raise awareness. Everyone matters. Women matter, you know. Take care of yourself, stay healthy, and have fun. I want everyone to have a good time. I would like to have it.”

“Our office likes to be transparent with the community. Our community fully supports us. I mean, it’s so great that they do that. We has received good support from the community, so we want to give back a little bit.”
Chief Deputy James Zuzak – Belmont County Sheriff’s Department
“We want to take every opportunity to contribute to our community. It also fosters camaraderie within the fire district, and our employees are very competitive; is also a lot of fun at the Sheriff’s Office. We work together on many cases and have a very strong relationship with Chief Deputy Zusak and all of his employees. So it’s fun for everyone involved. It should become something.”

“Guns & Horses” charity basketball game will be held this Wednesday, March 13thth 7 p.m., ECO Court at OUE.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.
There will be food from Around the World gourmet food, ice cream from Kirk’s, a photo booth, a half-court shot contest, and a halftime performance by Studio MC’s dancers.
