BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — After being arrested Thursday morning, the registered sex offender was arraigned Thursday afternoon and is currently being held without bail pending a preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
On Wednesday, according to a police report, Reinaldo Camacho PerezA 38-year-old woman from Boardman raped her multiple times over a period of three hours in her home in Boardman. The report graphically details how the assault occurred in multiple locations in the house.
According to reports, Camacho Perez had the woman leave when she said he had an appointment he needed to go to, but he later contacted her and told her not to tell anyone what happened. Said.
“I don’t even know why they charged me with rape. I don’t even know what’s going on,” Camacho Perez told court Thursday.
Camacho Perez is a registered sex offender. He was previously sentenced to two years in prison for charges related to: Sex offenses against minors with special needsPerez was released from prison in early September.
“The state has serious concerns regarding this particular defendant, especially in light of the 2020 Trumbull County case,” said prosecutor Ed Chopoor.
Czopur revealed in court that the victim in the current case is related to the minor in the Trumbull County case that sent Camacho Perez to prison.
A transgender woman whose real name is Curtis Jones was also arrested. She lives in a house where police say there was an assault.
Jones is charged with obstruction. Police said Jones lied and said Camacho Perez was not home when he came to arrest him early Thursday morning.
“When I left the house, they asked if Reynaldo was home. I said I didn’t know. Jones told the court that they dropped him off at work at 11.
Camacho Perez is in jail without bail, but that could change at next Tuesday’s hearing.
Jones’ bond was set at $10,000.
